Geoff Dorn co-founded Pacific Bridge gallery on the ascent of the Bay Area's dotcom glow and went on to run the Port of Oakland's Public Art Program. He has served as a City of Oakland Art Commissioner, officer of the Oakland Asian Cultural Center and currently serves on the boards of The Museum of Contemporary Craft and Re:active in Portland where he is a financial representative.

I love making this stuff. I go into the studio late at night, stack up some albums on the stereo, pour a nice IPA and start to splatter paint or dissect printed material for the images that catch my eye. The practice is collage, hip-hop if you like, the gestalt is what interests me. I like the way the brain is hardwired with a fixed base that knows like a puzzle if a piece fits, if a certain juxtaposition "works". Some narratives are intended, some are random.

Geoff Dorn will at some future date put a little bit of effort into this site. Till then is best reached via
